Goose Island Awarded Bronze Medal at European Beer Star Competition

On Nov. 12, the European Beer Star Competition in Nuremberg awarded 165 medals to some of the best global breweries across the country. Out of 2,000 contending beers, Goose Island took home a bronze medal in the Wood and Barrel Aged Strong Beer category for its 2015 Vintage Bourbon County Brand Barleywine. This is the third time in three years that Goose Island has won one of these prestigious European Beer Star medals, and ABI’s Global Director of Hop Procurement, Willy Buholzer, and Director of Brewing and Innovations for Craft, Brett Porter, were on hand to accept the award.
