Central Texas (March 24, 2021) – In response to the devastating effects of February’s winter storm, Ben E. Keith Beverages is continuing to work with local communities to collect and distribute donated water. Ben E. Keith received a water request initiated by Representatives Leo Pacheco and Liz Campos in San Antonio regarding the need for water in their districts. To respond to this request, Ben E. Keith teamed up with CANarchy, a craft brewery, who quickly filled their product cans with water to distribute to Texans.
“When the recent storms and the resulting hardships that they left behind created a need for clean drinking water in one of our home markets, we jumped to action with the CAN’d Aid Foundation and Ball Corporation. Responding to a request for help from our great friends and partners at Ben E. Keith and supporting our local communities is in our DNA. We consider ourselves very fortunate to be partnered with such great people,” said Chris Russell, the CCO of CANarchy Craft Brewery Collective.
Ben E. Keith distributed 1000 cans of drinking water to Representative Leo Pachecho’s district and has collected an additional 786 cases for Representative Campos district. After these requests were fulfilled, Ben E. Keith was contacted by the Red Cross with additional water needs at a Covid-19 vaccination site in College Station. Ben E. Keith successfully distributed an additional 270 cases of water to respond to this request.
“CANarchy is a phenomenal Texas corporate citizen & partner. They mobilized water donations to Texas communities before we contacted them. Once Ben E. Keith reached out with requests, they produced more. It is a great example of a supplier & distributor working together,” said Kevin Nettleton, General Manager Specialty Division, Ben E. Keith Beverages.
