Ben E. Keith Beverages Delivers 7,000 Cases of Drinking Water to Texans In Need

March 08, 2021 – In support of the Texans facing water shortages as a result of the recent severe winter storm and extended freezing conditions, Ben E. Keith Beverages has delivered 7,000 donated cases of drinking water to local fire departments, employees and community organizations, including the American Red Cross, to distribute to those in need.

“We pride ourselves on being active, contributing members of the communities we serve, both in good and challenging times. Helping our neighbors get back on their feet is an essential part of what being Texan is all about. We thank our many supplier partners for joining us in this effort,” said Kevin Bartholomew, President of Ben E. Keith Beverages.

Donated drinking water was delivered to organizations and individuals from Ben E. Keith’s distribution centers throughout the state, including Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Llano and Palestine.

Anheuser-Busch and its local distributors have a longstanding tradition of providing support for disaster relief efforts in partnership with the American Red Cross, dating back to 1906. Since the inception of the emergency drinking water program in 1988, Anheuser-Busch and its wholesaler partners have provided more than 86 million cans of water to U.S. communities affected by natural disasters and other crises.
