The MARKON® RSS Urban Blend is near and dear to Chef Bud. Here's a little bit about his life changing experience.

In August 2015, MARKON® held their First Annual Chef’s Summit in Salinas Valley, California. BEK Amarillo Chef Bud Andersen, Chef / Consultant, took part in this 3-day summit that brought together 12 chefs from around the country to participate in field tours, business policy forums, product application meetings and R&D sessions. The experience of these Chefs’ was invaluable to Markon, because of their feedback, ideas and support. A blend, developed by Chef Bud Andersen, and Chef Kelli Welby of Shamrock Foods in Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed all the qualifications from MARKON® and its members. The new “Urban Blend” is being packaged and sold under the MARKON® label. This incredible super blend of baby red chard, wild arugula, scarlet, green and black baby kales is a combination of color, texture and flavor sure to be a hit with any customers. Available now through MARKON®, it is the only blend that was selected out of the inaugural MARKON® Chefs Summit to be packaged.  The Ben E.
