Position Summary:

The Communications and Change Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive communication and change strategies that support organizational transformations, employee engagement, and the strengthening of the company's culture and values. This role ensures seamless communication across multiple channels, oversees change management initiatives, and collaborates with senior leadership to deliver impactful messaging to internal and external audiences. This position will report to the Director of Change Management.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Internal and External Communications

  • Design and execute communication strategies to enhance employee awareness of benefits, wellness initiatives, and other enterprise priorities
  • Develop and manage an editorial calendar to ensure consistent, aligned messaging across divisions and channels.
  • Support the development, creation, and distribution of multimedia content (e.g., digital, video, print) including regular HR publications.
  • Support BEK Leadership and senior executives with strategic communications, including announcements, speeches, and scripts.
  • Supporting public relations as needed.

Digital Communications and Tools

  • Establish and drive a multi-channel communications strategy for consistent messaging across all departments and divisions (including recommendations for new channels and tools).
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Oversee intranet assessment, planning, and delivery to meet organizational needs.
  • Support Microsoft 365 digital tools adoption, including Teams, SharePoint, and Viva Engage, by raising awareness and providing guidance on effective use.
  • Collaborate with IT and Business to manage enterprise mailboxes, define new distribution groups, and explore analytics tools to enhance communication.

Change Management and Transformation Support

  • Lead and/or support communication and change management efforts for various company projects.
  • Partner with senior leaders to ensure all internal communications align with the company’s transformation goals and values.
  • Identify opportunities to promote and drive awareness of organizational initiatives among employees and communities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Organizational Development, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in change management, internal communications, or corporate communications roles.
  • Proven experience with content creation and delivery across multiple platforms (e.g., email, newsletters, intranet, presentations).
  • Strong proficiency in leveraging and administering internal communication tools, including intranet platforms and internal email software, specifically within the Microsoft ecosystem.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Expertise in change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a journalistic approach to sourcing stories.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Creative ability to devise and integrate communication strategies across various channels.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to navigate complex organizational dynamics and build relationships across all levels.
  • Confident and professional demeanor to liaise with senior executives and prepare them with effective messaging.
  • Proficiency in measuring the effectiveness of communication strategies and presenting data-driven recommendations.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills to engage diverse audiences.

Work Environment & Travel Requirements:

  • This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring three days per week in the corporate office in Fort Worth, TX and two days remote.
  • This position requires up to 20% domestic travel for business needs.
