Position Summary and Responsibilities:
The purpose of the Returns-Inventory Control Supervisor position is to supervise the driver return/check in of product during the assigned work shift. This will include the scheduling and directing of returns employees on assigned tasks to ensure maximum operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Supervise returns employees to ensure returned product is checked in properly, accounted for and safely returned to inventory when appropriate.
• Produce and analyze product reports and formulate proactive plan to optimize operational efficiency.
• Supervise the assigned returns shift in meeting operational objectives to maximize branch productivity as it relates to driver check in and return of product to the warehouse.
• Coordinate and work with the Inventory Control Manager to ensure a safe and productive work group is maintained.
Work Schedule:
M-F 7pm-4am
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• Must have at least 1 year experience of supervisor experience.
• Must have at least 1 year experience of Food Distribution
• Exceptional communication skills, Professional phone-etiquette skills, Self Starter with ability to multi-task
• Exceptional organizational skills, Strong problem-solving skills.,
• Ability to lead others
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments, customer focused, strong attention to detail
• Good problem-solving skills, Ethical work practices,
• Detail oriented
Physical Requirements:
• Able to read product lists and packages.
• Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to handle product weighing up to 100lbs.
• Ability to repetitively lift.
• Ability to learn to operate heavy warehouse equipment, such, as electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet, and legs.
• Must be able to work in varying warehouse temperature zones and shifts
