Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•    Stuffs, hangs, and weighs sausage.
•    Applies casing and bag over stuffing horn, clips bag and/or ties bag for different products.
•    Weighs product on scales in tray or boxes and attaches label to boxes or package. 

•    Assemble and disassemble equipment within processing area

•   Operate powered pallet jack and forklift
•    Perform all duties accurately and efficiently.
•    Responsible for housekeeping, cleanliness, and sanitary conditions within the department.
•    Follow policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.
•    Reports any process or equipment problems to supervisor.
•    Acquire and retain thorough knowledge of packaging processes and equipment.
•    Ensure quality of products is maintained.
•    Verifies correct label, weight, and date information on products that you are working with.
•    Work safely under all conditions and procedures.
•    Report work-related injuries and illnesses immediately to supervisor.


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
•    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 
•    Basic math skills required.
•    Must be proficient with computer programs such as MS Office, and various ERP systems.
•    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    One to three years working in a meat department required.


Physical Requirements:
•    Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
•    Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
•    Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced production environment.
•    Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
•    Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work in wet and cold (32-40º) environment.
