The Material Handling Maintenance Technician reports to the Material Handling Maintenance Manager, works independently, performs advance maintenance and repairs throughout the warehouse on the (Automated Storage and Retrieval System), Order Picking and other material handling equipment. • Performs routine preventive maintenance on ASRS conveyors, pallet elevators, and palletizer system etc. • Performs major repairs on ASRS conveyors, pallet elevators, and palletizer system etc. • Test, maintain, and evaluate equipment performance using the appropriate test equipment • Troubleshoots ASRS conveyors, pallet elevators, and palletizer system etc. and recommends corrective action • Maintain tools and machinery in good condition and use tools and equipment carefully as instructed • Maintains accurate preventive maintenance records • Answer after hours call backs as needed, with the possibility of coming in nights and weekends • Creates and closes work orders within company’s fleet software to include labor hours, parts etc. • Performs related work and other job assignments as required • Other building maintenance needs as assigned by manager
Job Qualifications:
• 1-2 plus years maintenance mechanic experience on ASRS conveyors, pallet elevators, palletizer system • 1-2 years of experience in mechanical and material handling systems or combination of training/certification, but will also accrue on the job training • Strong communication skills • Fully competent to a high degree in mechanical knowledge • Strong knowledge of various types of equipment in maintenance trade • Strong knowledge of automated pallet handling systems and ability to trouble shoot them • Ability to work with hands in mechanically oriented situations • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, as well as interpret electrical diagrams • High School Diploma or GED
