Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, this person will be responsible for changing and watering batteries for our fleet of forklifts, completing preventive maintenance on equipment, completing regular inspections, and responding to requests for service. This is a skilled / semi-skilled position in several trades which is expected to include working with powered and manual tools, technical publications, lubricants, cleaners, paints and primers. This individual will work as part of a team and independently in extreme temperatures and sometimes at heights on equipment and ladders.

*The shift for this position is Sunday-Thursday, 3pm-midnight*

Must have experience or be able to acquire basic competency with the following:

• Certified in all classes of powered industrial trucks • Basic electrical and electronic troubleshooting • Troubleshoot and replace pumps and motors • Basic construction, assembly, welding, brazing, soldering, and plumbing. • Maintains and repairs lift trucks and pallet jacks. • Maintains tools and machinery in good condition and uses all tools carefully. • Organizes and maintains tool room and spare parts storage rooms. • Performs accurate records for preventive maintenance.

Job Qualifications:

Ability to interpret and work from sketches and diagrams. • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. • High school diploma or equivalent required. Trade school diploma preferred. Preferably experience in building and plant maintenance work which involved electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and building trades.
